Camino del Norte, 2012 (Bilbao to Santiago). I walked 677 km in 28 days over this beautiful northern route in June 2012. To read this series from the beginning, start here.
I chose the Camino del Norte after hearing a lot about it over my various camino travels and as I began to plan I heard from 2011 Camino friends that they hoped to join me for portions. So I began the walk with Sebastian, continued on alone for a bit then was joined by Martin and then met Jacqueline near the end.
Because of time limitations I started at Bilbao rather than the traditional start of Irun. The camino took place between mid-may and mid-June of 2012.
